Former Ohio State football RB Master Teague III signs with Pittsburgh Steelers

Former Ohio State football running back Master Teague III is heading to the NFL.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Teague after placing running back Jeremy McNichols on injured reserve Wednesday.

After four seasons at Ohio State, Teague was not selected in the 2022 NFL draft, but signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chicago Bears before being cut after the organization's three-day rookie camp.

In four seasons at Ohio State, Teague amassed 1,764 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns, averaging 5.5 yards per carry.

Teague was a second-team All-Big Ten selection in 2020 after being a member of the third team in 2019.

In his first three seasons, Teague helped Ohio State to three Big Ten Championships and played in two College Football Playoffs.

Teague is now one of four former Ohio State running backs to currently in the NFL along with Ezekiel Elliott with the Dallas Cowboys, J.K. Dobbins with the Baltimore Ravens and Trey Sermon with the San Francisco 49ers.
