Former Ohio State WR Michael Thomas placed on injured reserve with New Orleans Saints

Michael Thomas continues to catch the injury bug.

The former Ohio State and current New Orleans Saints wide receiver is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a dislocated second toe. He was placed on injured reserve Thursday, Saints coach Dennis Allen told reporters Thursday, and is not expected back this season.

After signing a five-year $96.25 million contract in 2019, setting an NFL record with 149 catches for 1,725 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, Thomas has played in 10 games in the past three seasons, missing all of 2021 with an ankle injury.
