Former Patriots running back Stevan Ridley was arrested in his Mississippi hometown this weekend.

Ridley was arrested by police on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge at a Natchez, Mississippi nightclub early Sunday morning, according to The Natchez Democrat.

Ridley posted a $750 bond and was released.

Drafted out of LSU with the 73rd overall pick in the 2011 draft, the Natchez-native soon became a staple of New England’s backfield.

Ridley’s best season of his eight-year NFL career was his 2012 sophomore campaign with the Patriots in which the pure runner broke the thousand-yard rushing threshold and tallied 12 touchdowns.

Although a torn ACL and MCL put Ridley on the shelf for most of the 2014 regular season, the former Mississippi native earned a championship ring as a member of the Super Bowl champion Patriots.

Ridley spent the next four years with three NFL teams, last suiting up for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
