Former Pittsburgh Steeler Antonio Brown says he wants to retire, but not play, in the black and gold

Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown posted on Twitter that he wants to retire as a member of the black and gold, but he doesn’t want to play.

In the pinned tweet on his profile, Brown said “Just wanna Retire A Steeler” before tweeting almost 20 minutes later, “Not Play Jus Retire so we Clear”.

Brown played with the Steelers from 2010 to 2018, where he tallied over 100 receptions every year from 2013 to 2018 and had over 1,000 yards, with his top notch being 1,834, seven times.

Brown was traded to the Oakland Raiders from Pittsburgh for a third round and fifth-round draft pick in April 2019.

Since the trade, Brown has landed in multiple markets, although his love for Pittsburgh remained.

Brown sold his home in Pine Township in October 2021, a few months before he stripped off his equipment and exited the field in the middle of a game where his team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were losing to the New York Jets. The Buccaneers would end up winning the game 28-24.

The Steelers have yet to make a comment on Brown’s tweets.
