Former Presentation College player Trevor Flemmer named new men's basketball coach

Presentation College seeking new athletic director, softball coach

Trevor Flemmer, a former Presentation College player, has been named head men's basketball coach at his alma mater.

He replaces Stan Holt, who coached for one year for the Saints, leading the team to a 13-15 season that ended in the North Star Athletic Association Tournament with a loss to Bellevue University.

Most recently, Flemmer spent four seasons at Dakota State University in Madison where he was an assistant coach for three years and associate head coach last season.

Before his time at Dakota State, Flemmer was an assistant coach at Riverland Community College in Austin, Minn., then a graduate assistant at Briar Cliff University in Iowa during the 2017-2018 season.

Flemmer played with the Saints from 2012 to 2016. He played in 56 games, averaging 3.5 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game.

He will be the third coach in as many years for Presentation.

Flemmer said he hopes to give the program a sense of stability.

"Building a great program takes time, but bringing in high-character, hard-working people from the staff to the student-athletes will lead to sustainable success," he said. "I plan to build this program in a matter that will make Presentation College and the Aberdeen community proud to be Saints fans."
