The fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, claimed that border guards did not let him leave Ukraine, accusing Ukrainian authorities of interfering in his business trip in a Telegram post, published on Dec. 1.

“A theater of the absurd at the border again,” Poroshenko wrote.

“I have a signed business trip by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, but the border guards did not let me through.”

Poroshenko doesn’t think that “the border guards acted on their own initiative,” and accused Ukrainian authorities of interfering in his business trip in the video.

“Everyone can make their own guess as to who canceled the document signed by the Parliament Chairman.”

Poroshenko said that he has dozens of meetings scheduled in Poland and the United States.

“I was supposed to talk to the Poles about lifting the blockade of our carriers at the border; with the Americans, about providing funding for military aid, which has nearly depleted this year and faces a threat in the future. Without adequate funding, we will not be able to defeat Russia.”
