Former Real Housewives of New York City cast member Kelly Bensimon is apparently a quick study. The former model and fashion editor, who made a name for herself during her three-season stint on the Bravo show, has set her sights on the real estate industry in recent years.

“I have always been in love with art and architecture and what’s behind the incredible façades,” Bensimon tells Architectural Digest. “I’m passionate about real estate because it encompasses my love of aesthetics and the art of the deal.”

And, according to the New York Post, Bensimon is a natural: The entrepreneur, who joined Douglas Elliman’s Holly Parker Team in August 2019, has brought in $50 million in sales in just the first few months of 2021 alone.

Bensimon credits each of her past careers with providing her the skills that have helped her achieve such a great amount of real estate success—including her time on RHONY. “Reality TV gave me a strong social media platform for me to cultivate a loyal following and show them the best of the best in real estate and lifestyle,” she says. “It takes a village, and I wouldn’t be here without everyone who works with me.” She currently holds a number of multimillion-dollar listings in New York City and the Hamptons, including a Midtown penthouse asking $66 million.

Bensimon isn’t the only famous realtor out there. Her Douglas Elliman colleagues include fellow reality TV stars like Million Dollar Listing New York’s Fredrik Eklund and Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles’ Josh Altman. And of course, earlier this year, her former RHONY costar Ramona Singer shared on Instagram that she too has plans to enter the real estate industry. Singer, who has starred on all 13 seasons of the reality show, posted a picture of herself reading a book with the caption “Studying for my NY real estate test! So excited!!”
