Former sports editor Charlie Jaworski among Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame inductees

Longtime Press & Sun-Bulletin sports reporter/editor Charlie Jaworski is one of three people who will be inducted into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame during a ceremony April 7 before the Binghamton Black Bears host the Delaware Thunder.

Jaworski, who died in 2016 at age 70, will be inducted along with former Binghamton players Josh Hennessy and Patrice Robitaille.

Their inductions were announced in 2019 and they were to be inducted in April of 2020, but the ceremony was pushed back because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Federal Prospects Hockey League game between the Black Bears and Thunder is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at Visions Federal Credit Union Veterans Memorial Arena.

The Black Bears will wear 50th anniversary jerseys commemorating Binghamton's pro hockey history. Game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off following the game.
