A former top aide to Melania Trump is unleashing a new line of criticism of the former first lady, comparing her to the "doomed" Marie Antoinette, according to a new report.

Stephanie Grisham, who resigned as the chief of staff on the afternoon of Jan. 6, likens her former boss to the last queen of France in a new book, calling Trump "dismissive, defeated, and detached,” Politico reported Monday.

Grisham's book, I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw in The Trump White House, will release in October and details her yearslong work for Trump, including the circumstances of her resignation following the Capitol riot, which she claimed the former first lady declined to disavow immediately.

MELANIA TRUMP'S OFFICE SAYS BOOKS ABOUT HER LIFE ARE 'IDLE GOSSIP'

“Do you want to tweet that peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence?” Grisham asked Trump in a text message on Jan. 6, according to the book. Her boss responded, "No."

Grisham, who also worked as the White House communications director and press secretary, submitted her resignation after the riot, along with deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews and the White House social secretary Rickie Niceta.

"It has been an honor to serve the country in the White House," Grisham said in a statement at the time. "I am very proud to have been a part of Mrs. Trump’s mission to help children everywhere, and proud of the many accomplishments of this Administration."

Trump's office pushed back on the book's claims, saying it is Grisham's "attempt to redeem herself after a poor performance as press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior in the White House."

The book is not the first to catalog the alleged dramas of the Trump White House, nor are its assessments the first that Trump's office has slapped down.

"How can people believe any of the books discussing Mrs. Trump’s life? Stories about her are idle gossip, many of which are misleading, and only some the truth. Writers have no credibility. Books are fiction, and readers should be cautious about what they choose to believe," the office said in July.
