Former President Donald Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn and his wife, Lori, have sold their Middletown home.

According to documents filed at Middletown Town Hall on June 30, the property at 63 Tuckerman Ave. was sold for $1.9 million to David J. and Michelle R. Powers of Boston. The sale was also reported through property transactions provided to The Daily News from The Warren Group.

According to a listing through William Raveis, whose agent represented the Flynns, the three-level home is 2,520 square feet and includes 3.5 bathrooms, four bedrooms and ocean views.

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported in May 2021 that Flynn and his wife purchased a home a month earlier in the upscale Boca Royale Golf & Country Club in Englewood, a low-key coastal community between Sarasota and Fort Myers popular with Midwest retirees and vacationers.  The Herald-Tribune has since reported that Flynn has become "increasingly active at the local level, speaking out about school board races and joining the Republican Party of Sarasota County’s executive committee."

Flynn is one of half a dozen former aides who were indicted as a result of the special counsel investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election. Flynn pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI about his communications with a former Russian ambassador before Trump was inaugurated. Flynn admitted that he lied about his request to then-ambassador Sergey Kislyak that Russia refrain from escalating tensions with the United States in response to sanctions imposed by the Obama administration, according to USA Today archives.

While awaiting sentencing, Flynn sought to withdraw his guilty plea by claiming he was entrapped by politically motivated federal investigators.

Flynn's defense team repeatedly cast his prosecution as a politically motivated conspiracy among Obama administration officials and accused prosecutors of hiding evidence that would've exonerated their client.

A federal judge in December 2020 dismissed Flynn's case, but not without eviscerating the Justice Department's handling of the former national security adviser's prosecution and making clear that a presidential pardon does not mean innocence.

Flynn graduated from Middletown High School in 1977.
