Former Trump official to speak at Southeastern University

Hogan Gidley, director of the America First Policy Institute’s Center for Election Integrity, will speak at Southeastern University on Oct. 27.

Gidley will speak on “The Role of the Press in Politics” as part of the Politically Speaking Lecture Series by SEU’s American Center for Political Leadership. The lecture will take place at 11 a.m. in the Welcome Center’s Lake Bonny room.

Gidley worked as principal deputy press secretary for former President Donald Trump and then as national press secretary for Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign. He has also been executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party and director of communications for Mike Huckabee, Elizabeth Dole and Rick Santorum.
