Former UCF receiver Tre Nixon agrees to a 4-year, $3.58 million contract with New England Patriots

Former UCF wide receiver Tre Nixon signed a four-year, $3,578,678 contract with the New England Patriots Tuesday.

Nixon was selected in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the 242nd overall selection. He was among eight players selected by the Patriots in this year’s draft.

The deal pays an average annual salary of $894,670 with $98,678 of the contract guaranteed, according to contract details obtained by Spotrac.com. Nixon also receives a $98,678 signing bonus.

Nixon was among a school-record five UCF players selected in last month’s NFL Draft along with defensive backs Richie Grant, Aaron Robinson and Tay Gowan as well as fellow receiver Jacob Harris.

He totaled 1,652 yards on 108 receptions and 13 touchdowns during his time with the Knights, earning honorable-mention All-AAC honors in 2019 after finishing the season with 49 receptions 830 yards.

Nixon was the 12th UCF receiver drafted in school history and the fifth since 2015.
