NIL group Crimson Collective made 85 Utah football players happy on Wednesday afternoon, announcing that every football player on scholarship will get a free lease on a brand-new 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn Night Edition truck.
The lease is covered by Crimson Collective donors — including insurance — as long as the players remain on scholarship at the university.
“Can’t even believe it. It still seems unreal, man, but just grateful for the opportunity that we were able to get one and be able to put the work in. We’re just grateful for freaking everything, man. This is unreal,” Utah defensive tackle Junior Tafuna said.

The 85 truck leases are one of the more unique NIL deals that have come out since 2021. Here’s how former Utah players (and a former BYU player) reacted to the news.

And Utah basketball player Branden Carlson wants in on the NIL truck action.
Got bad news last week that I would need a total engine replacement in my Hyundai. So I’m in the market for a new car… or truck…👀👀

No but I think I could be good on special teams for blocking a field goal
