Vikings CB Holton Hill was tabbed by some to breakout in 2020. After a 2018 where he showed promise and a 2019 where he was suspended for a total of eight games, Hill went into 2020 with a chance at a big role.

Unfortunately for the Vikings and Hill, the cornerback did not have a stellar season. He had a PFF grade of 42.6, playing in just four games. Minnesota ended up waiving Hill during the season.

Now, Hill is getting a chance to impress a new team. According to the NFL transactions wire, Hill had a tryout with the Cowboys this week. Dallas has a pretty young secondary, so there’s a chance that Hill could find a role there if he plays like he did in 2018.

Hill’s 2018 PFF grade was 70.1. He had seven passes defended and one interception. He also played in all 16 games. Many of Hill’s struggles have stemmed from him being unable to stay on the field, either through injury or suspension. Maybe a healthy Hill has a resurgent year in a change of scenery. As of now, though, he is unsigned.
