Former Vice President Mike Pence is returning to Spartanburg to give a lecture at Wofford College on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

The former Indiana governor and vice president under former President Donald Trump will appear at 6 p.m. in Leonard Auditorium.

In May, Pence came to Spartanburg to speak at the Carolina Pregnancy Center's Spring Gala at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. Pence is a staunch anti-abortionist.

The audience of 1,250 cheered Pence's praise of a leak that indicated the U.S. Supreme Court planned to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. While outside, around 150 pro-choice demonstrators chanted opposition to the leaked court ruling.

The Tuesday, Oct. 18 event is free and open to the public, although registration is required. Doors open at 5 p.m. and seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to register.

The college will also livestream the event.

The visit is part of the college's Hipp Lecture Series on International Affairs and National Security.

In May, the Republican told The New York Times he is open to a 2024 presidential run against Trump, but to date, Pence has not publicly declared whether he will run.

At a January 6 Committee hearing Thursday, California Rep. Zoe Lofgren said staff members to Vice President Pence were concerned with what Trump might do on election night regarding the results of the election, according to USA Today. She added that Pence's staff took steps to ensure Pence would not echo a false victory announcement from Trump.
