DENISE KOCH: We have an update now on that active shooter situation in Frederick earlier this week that left two US sailors injured. Officials at Fort Detrick are working to fix any security gaps after the gunman was able to speed past security Tuesday morning. The gunman was finally stopped about a half-mile into the base where police say he pulled out a weapon, and he was shot to death.

Now this came after he shot two sailors at a Frederick business park. Police say he knew the victims, one of whom is still hospitalized at Shock Trauma, and investigators are still trying to determine a motive.
