Fort Matanzas Beach access ramp, parking lot reopen

The Fort Matanzas beach access ramp and parking lot have reopened with the completion of the FEMA dune project.

Construction projects

Expect traffic delays in St. Johns County this week. Here is a list of Florida Department of Transportation road projects scheduled through Nov. 19.

I-95: Nighttime lane closures from State Road 207 to the Flagler County line from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Thursday for road work. Nighttime lane closures at State Road 206 and at U.S. 1 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Thursday for road work.

South Ponte Vedra Boulevard: Daytime lane closure at Tides Edge Place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for FPL power pole work.

State Road 13: Daytime lane closures from Swamp Oaks Trail to Bartram Trail from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays for ditch work.

State Road 16: Daytime lane closures at San Giacomo Road from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Wednesday for turn lane construction and drainage work.

U.S. 1: The inside travel lanes of northbound and southbound U.S. 1 between Island Landing Drive and Venetian Boulevard are closed for construction in the median. Traffic will use the outside travel lanes, allowing one lane of traffic in both directions.

U.S. 1: Nighttime lane closures in both directions from State Road 207 to West King Street from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. through Thursday for concrete pavement replacement.

U.S. 1: Daytime lane closures from north of Fairbanks Street to Cross Ridge Drive from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays for work related to the resurfacing project.
