Fort Myers police investigate fatal vehicle-bike crash on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard

A Fort Myers police report reveals new details about the moments leading to the discovery of an unresponsive child at a Fort Myers lake, near a residence.

Fort Myers police shutdown a portion of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard Monday night after a fatal vehicle-bicycle crash.

The westbound lanes were closed shortly before 10 p.m. between French and Pauldo streets and traffic diverted down French.

Further details were unavailable.

The fatality is the fifth on Lee County roads in 2022.
