Fort Myers police are hoping the public can help identify people seen fleeing a shooting in a Dodge Durango on Monday.

About 7 a.m. Monday, Fort Myers police responded  to a woman with a gunshot to her upper thigh in the 3300 block of Handy Court

She died at a hospital, police said in a release Thursday night.

Fort Myers homicide detectives assumed the probe and are hoping to identify those responsible.

They said a Dodge Durango left the scene traveling north on Henderson immediately after the shooting.
