Fort Myers restaurants: New spot offers flavors of Vietnam (and karaoke)
After years of wanting more Asian food options in Southwest Florida, a group of seven friends and business partners have opened Sea Street Food & Bar in Fort Myers.
The restaurant held its soft opening the week of Nov. 14, followed by a grand opening Nov. 27. Sea Street is at 4300 Cleveland Ave., next door to Leaf Asian Market and across U.S. 41 from the Edison Mall.
Sea Street's owners, Johnny Truong, Binh Duong, Chi Nguyen and Vany Le, as well as its chefs, Phuc Vu, Trang Duong and Nhung Chuot, teamed up to bring a vast selection of Vietnamese classics, Vietnamese street foods and entertainment to the area.

“After residing in Fort Myers for awhile, we noticed there weren't many places that have great tasting Asian food. Not many places that offer seafood while incorporating entertainment, like karaoke or a bar," Truong said.
"That’s why we have thought of bringing it all together.”
From the outside, Sea Street looks like any other strip-mall restaurant, but once you walk inside you are met with bright colors and faux-brick walls. The staff is always smiling, willing to help, and ready to guide you through the menu, a menu that is full of a variety of popular Vietnamese fare from rice dishes to pho, noodle dishes and seafood.
“Not that many places in Florida have authentic Vietnamese cuisine," Truong said. "We want to be the place that introduces these flavors to the area and not having to travel too far to have that experience.”
Some of Sea Street's can’t-miss menu items include: beef-rib pho, hot pot, grilled scallops, sizzling beef steak and an array of boba teas and drinks.
