Fort Pitt Museum to fire cannon in Point State Park this weekend, here’s when

The Fort Pitt Museum will fire the cannon in Point State Park this weekend.

This is part of the museum’s living history program.

The replica British six-pounder cannon will be fired four times over the weekend, weather permitting.

As part of the event, Shideezhi Emarthla, a citizen of the Seneca-Cayuga Nation, will lead a cooking demonstration and discuss what life was like for Native American tribes in western Pennsylvania in the 18th century.

The cannon will be fired at the following times:

Saturday, June 3 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Sunday, June 4 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Fort Pitt Museum is located at 601 Commonwealth Place in Pittsburgh.
