Wednesday

Boys Golf

Brooks Herrera, Booneville: Tied for the tournament's low score with a 3-over-par 39 during the nine-hole event at Waldron Country Club, despite still recovering from a broken leg suffered in July's AA American Legion baseball state championship. The senior led the Bearcats to a one-stroke victory of 124 over Charleston in an event where three scores counted per team.

Rylen Ray, Booneville: The football fullback shot the Bearcats' second-best 41. The junior finished fourth overall.

Brandon Scott, Charleston: Finished tied for first individually with a 39.

Girls Golf

Maddie Flynn, Charleston: Shot 44 to finish second place overall and for the Lady Tigers in the girls division at Waldron Country Club. The team's three-person score of 136 won the nine-hole event by 31 strokes over Lincoln and Mena.

Peri Tygart, Charleston: Finished first individually with a 7-over-par 43.

Tuesday

Boys golf

Hogan Dunn, Van Buren: Dunn finished tied for fourth overall at the two-day Ultimate Auto Group Invitational with a 159 (82-77). The Pointers placed second overall to Class 6A Rogers.
