Fort Smith Transit to offer free rides to polling locations on Election Day

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Fort Smith Transit will drive voters to polling locations for free on March 5.

The regular routes will offer free rides to polling locations and there is also an on-demand route where you can schedule a ride.

“We aim to make voting simple and available to everyone who depends on Fort Smith Transit because we believe that democracy functions best when everyone participates and has a voice,” said Fort Smith Transit civil rights officer Gregory Carthon.
