Fortnite dropped its latest update today, and it’s a gaymer’s dream come true because the popular battle royale game just added its first-ever trans character.

As part of the game’s crossover event with DC, Fortnite has added Dreamer from the CW’s Supergirl series. This isn’t the first time that this character has made history, as she was not only the show’s first trans superhero but television’s first trans superhero, period.

The news that Dreamer is headed to the game first came as part of a leak from Twitter users HYPEX and ShiinaBR. According to Gayming, they peeked into Fortnite’s files and discovered that Dreamer — along with several other skins including Ikora Rey, Exo Stranger, and Commander Zavala of the game Destiny — is on the way. They also revealed that there would be new emotes, sprays, and weapon cosmetics to accompany the crossover as well.

For those not familiar with the character, Dreamer (aka Nia Nal) first appeared on Supergirl in season four where she quickly became a queer fan fave. A half-alien, she possesses alien superpowers, including being able to see the future as well as astral projecting. Nal only embraced her abilities after the death of her mother, and she eventually teamed up with Supergirl going on to join the Superfriends. She was created for the series, but has made the jump to the comics – and now she’s soon to be a playable character in Fortnite.

But that wasn’t the only queer Fortnite news that leaked: the Say it Proud music pack also made its way to Twitter today.

Dreamer is likely to be made available during September’s Rainbow Royale event, which is essentially Pride month for the game. According to the leaks, it will also feature a new loading screen, free items from the previous year’s celebration, and a ton of new cosmetics. Sure sounds like between the celebration and introduction of Dreamer, Fortnite is shaping up to be the place to be for gaymers next month.
