Four advance in Wisconsin Rapids School Board race following Tuesday's primary election

WISCONSIN RAPIDS − The Wisconsin Rapids School Board will have at least one new member following the spring election.

During Tuesday's primary vote, five candidates faced off for four spots on the April 4 ballot. Incumbent John Krings will face newcomers Kathi Stebbins-Hintz, Mike Derrie and Christopher Inda for two open seats on the board.

Jen Farmbrough did not advance in Tuesday's race.

School board candidates are elected to three-year terms. Current board member Sandra Hett did not seek reelection.

Wisconsin Rapids School Board results

  • Kathi Stebbins-Hintz: 2,617 (24.8%)

  • John Krings (i): 2,558 (24.3%)

  • Mike Derrie: 2,182 (20.7%)

  • Christopher Inda: 1,917 (18.2%)

  • Jen Farmbrough: 1,270 (12%)
