Four area soccer teams seek titles today
Feb. 4—Four area soccer teams will play in the MHSAA state championships today.
Lafayette's boys, North Pontotoc's boys, Saltillo's girls and Tupelo Christian's girls are all making their first title game appearances.
TCPS (17-5) will meet St. Patrick (18-2) at Ridgeland High School at noon in the Class I final. At Brandon High School, North Pontotoc (20-4-1) faces Bay High (18-5-2) at 2 p.m. in Class 4A, followed by Saltillo (17-3) versus West Harrison (17-4-1) in 5A at 4 p.m. and then Lafayette (18-5) against defending state champion Long Beach (15-2-3) in 5A at 6 p.m.
