Four dispatchers recognized for their work during man hunt and active shooter incidents

ZANESVILLE − Four 911 communications officers were recently nominated and recognized at the state level Gold Star Award Banquet, according to a press release from the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office.Stacy Fleegle, Jeremy Yarger and Shelle Garey-Willison were recognized for their diligent work during an eight-hour man hunt for a violent felon that ultimately ended in his apprehension. While coordinating multiple agencies, they kept officer and public safety in mind and still professionally handled regular call volume.Jennifer Davis and Yarger were recognized for their cool and calm handling of an active shooter incident at Muskingum College after a baseball game, ensuring that all resources were sent to aid and navigating staging for all first responders to keep them safe and out of harms way until the scene was secure.
