Four girls struck by lightning at popular Oklahoma swimming spot

Four girls reportedly were injured by lightning Saturday at a popular swimming location in northeast Oklahoma.

Grand River Dam Authority Police Department said lightning struck the girls around 10:45 a.m. while they were in the water at Blue Hole Park in Mayes County just east of Salina, Oklahoma.

Local news outlets reported two girls were transported by ambulance to a hospital in Tulsa.

The other two girls were taken by a private vehicle to a Pryor hospital, it was reported.
