Four New Jersey lottery players win $50K in Wednesday's Powerball drawing
Four New Jersey lottery players, including one in Bergen County, won $50,000 in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, the New Jersey Lottery announced.
The New Jerseyans matched four white balls and the Powerball to take home the second-tier prize. The winning tickets were sold at:
Northvale Gas on Livingston Street in Northvale (Bergen County)
Breeze Laundromat on Pacific Street in Newark (Essex County)
Guardys on Bloomfield Avenue in Newark (Essex County)
RS Fuel on US Highway 9 in Marlboro (Monmouth County)
In addition, 91,821 tickets in New Jersey won an estimated $514,674 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, the lottery stated in a release.

The Powerball numbers drawn on Wednesday, Sept. 27, drawing were: 1, 7, 46, 47, 63 and Powerball 7. The Power Play was 3X.

Powerball climbs to $925 million
No one matched all six numbers in Wednesday night's drawing so the jackpot will reach an estimated $925 million for Saturday night's drawing. The cash option with be $432.4 million.
It will remain the fourth largest Powerball and the ninth largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever (see lists below).
Tickets sold in New York, California, Kansas, Maryland all matched the five white balls to win $1 million prizes. However, California bases its non-jackpot prizes on actual sales in that state so that ticket is worth $796,425.

Powerball drawings are held three times a week - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Monday drawings were added in 2021.

How late can I buy Powerball tickets?

How do I play Powerball?
The cost is $2 per ticket, but you can add the Power Play for $1, which will increase the amount of your potential prize up to five times the original prize (except for the jackpot and Match 5). There is also a 10x Power Play possibility when the jackpot is less than $150 million.
Each player selects five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. However, you can also have the lottery machine generate a quick pick ticket with random numbers for you.
Prizes vary from $4 for the matching the Powerball to $1 million for matching all five white balls (except in California) to the jackpot for matching all six balls. You can check all the prize payouts on the Powerball website here.

You can play the game in 45 states plus the Washington DC, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Many grocery stores, gas stations and convenience stores sell lottery tickets. Some states allow Powerball tickets to be purchased online, but beware of scam websites. Check with your state lottery for more details about online sales before purchasing tickets online.
