Four local teams rise in latest Dave Campbell's high school football rankings

The latest release of Dave Campbell's Texas Football high school football rankings had seven teams from the Texas Panhandle included in the top 10 of their respective classes.

The Tascosa Rebels (3-1) maintained their spot at No. 10 in the Class 5A Division I rankings following a 56-10 win over Hereford on the road last week.

In Class 4A Division I, the Dumas Demons moved up two spots to No. 8 following a 57-6 victory over Plainview. The Class 3A Division I Bushland Falcons also continued their ascension up the top 10 list by bumping up one spot to a No. 7 ranking after improving their record to 4-0 last week with a 51-13 win over Borger.

The Canadian Wildcats fell have risen back up to No. 5 in the Class 3A Division II rankings after a 1-2 start to the season and a 56-14 victory over Perryton last Friday.

Stratford stayed steady at No. 7 in the Class 2A Division I rankings following a 35-8 win over Vega.

Wellington (3-1), once again, checked-in at No. 4 in the Class 2A Division II rankings and will face a tough Panhandle team this Friday night. The Skyrockets sit behind Mart, Burton and Albany in the rankings.

Lastly, Class 1A Six-Man Division I program Happy moved up two spots to No. 6 after defeating Kress 46-0 in week four.
