These four Montgomery public schools have new principals. Here's the list.

Four new principals will welcome Montgomery Public School students when classes begin next week.

The Montgomery Advertiser pulled together publicly available information on the new principals, and Montgomery Public Schools spokesperson Scott Johnson provided headshots and biographies.

Here's a look at the changes:

Bear Exploration Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology School

Nina Williams is the new principal at Bear Exploration Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology School. In her welcome letter to the school, she wrote about the importance of keeping the school's Cognia STEM accreditation.

Over the past 18 years, Williams has been a teacher, academic coach, academic dean, assistant principal, federal reviewer consultant, and post-secondary clinical instructor. She has an Ed.D in Curriculum and Leadership from Columbus State University, serves as a Cognia reviewer and provides consulting for her independent company when she isn't working for MPS.

She wrote that everyone at the school has a common goal: "to support our students to achieve every day."

Brewbaker Middle School

Jaime Dubei is the new principal at Brewbaker Middle School. She taught at IS 84 and MS 254 in the Bronx before she founded Queens Collegiate: A College Board School, which is a public secondary school in Jamaica Hills, Queens, New York.

She has been a principal for over 13 years.

She has an Ed.D in progress for Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Missouri.

Carver Elementary and Arts Magnet School

Juan Henderson is the new principal at Carver. He comes into the role from E.D. Nixon, where he was principal. This will be his fourth year at Montgomery Public Schools.

Henderson began his career in education as a teacher in Troy City Schools in 1994, where he was a fourth-grade teacher for three years before becoming an assistant principal of Troy Elementary in fall 1997. He later became principal.

He is from Troy, Alabama.

Goodwyn Middle School

Keisha Howard is the new principal at Goodwyn Middle School. She was previously principal at Bellingrath.

Howard has been with Montgomery Public Schools since 2008 when she joined as a middle school teacher. She began her teaching career in the Bullock County School District.

Her roles within MPS have included Curriculum Instructional Assistant, Accountability Interventionist and Assistant Principal.
