Four San Diego restaurants make Yelp’s top 100 romantic restaurants for Valentine’s Day
SAN DIEGO — Romance is in the air in the month of February.
With Valentine’s Day not too far away, lovebirds will be trying to find that perfect restaurant to set the mood.
Yelp recently compiled this year’s top 100 romantic restaurants for Valentine’s Day dinner. San Diego is home to four restaurants on that list.
Cesarina, located in Point Loma, topped the local spots at No. 4.
“My fiance and I came here for our anniversary, I highly recommend outside seating for the romantic vibes it is beautiful. Service is excellent – all the staff knew we were there for our anni and they really like to add a personal touch to their service,” Yelper Angela C. said.
The most popular dish at the Italian restaurant, according to Yelp, is the Pomodoro Fresco, which features fresh tomato sauce, Parmigiano, Burrata and pesto.
Siamo Napoli, located in North Park, came in at No. 22.

“The ambiance of the restaurant took my breath away! It felt like I was in Italy, and the whole dining experience felt really special and unique,” Yelper Ashley K. said.
One of its popular dishes is the Margherita pizza, containing Pomodoro sauce, mozzarella, basil and extra virgin olive oil.
Piacere Mio, located in South Park, placed No. 55 on the list.
“The overall vibe of the restaurant is so cozy and charming. The low lighting really sets a great mood and the ambiance is lovely,” Yelper Kaloni S. said.
Spaghetti Carbonara is a sought after dish, featuring spaghetti pasta with sautéed shallots, white wine, egg yolk, pancetta, black pepper, a touch of cream and parmesan.
Et Voilà! French Bistro, also located in North Park, is the final restaurant at No. 81.
“Came here for date night when we were visiting San Diego and we absolutely loved it! The interior was beauty and classy, and the service was fantastic,” Yelper Karissa L. commented.
The French restaurant is known for its Ravioli aux champignons, which is homemade mushroom ravioli with white truffle oil, parmesan and port wine mushroom sauce.
Yelp’s methodology consisted of identifying businesses in the restaurants and food categories with a large concentration of reviews mentioning words and phrases such as “romantic,” “date night” and “valentine.” Those spots were then ranked using factors such as total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning those keywords.
