Four-star 2024 athlete PJ Woodland includes Mississippi State in top five, Ole Miss left out

Four-star Class of 2024 athlete PJ Woodland has released his top five schools and Ole Miss was not included. The Oak Grove wide receiver and defensive back included Mississippi State, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M on Monday.

The 6-foot, 165-pound Woodland is the No. 13 recruit in the state and No. 35 athlete nationally according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. And he's the No. 362 ranked recruit in the country.

Woodland also received offers from Ole Miss, Arkansas and Auburn among others.

The senior had 38 tackles, four passes defended, seven interceptions in 12 games for the Warriors. Woodland helped lead Oak Grove to a 10-3 record and advanced to the second round of the MHSAA Class 6A playoffs.

Woodland is one of three Oak Grove players heavily recruited by the Aggies and coach Jimbo Fisher. Warriors quarterback Anthony Maddox committed to Texas A&M in February, while defensive tackle Caleb Moore gathered offers from the Aggies, Tennessee and Auburn this offseason.
