Four-star guard Jeremiah Fears commits to Illinois
CHANDLER, Ariz. (WCIA) — Class of 2025 four-star guard Jeremiah Fears is committing to Illinois, the Joliet-native announced on social media Monday.
From Arizona Compass Prep in Chandler, Fears chose the Illini over offers from Kansas, Michigan, Ole Miss, and more. The six-foot-three combo guard returns to the Land of Lincoln, having attended Joliet West before moving out to Arizona.
According to 247Sports, Fears comes in as the 31st-best player in the country in the Class of 2025. Rivals ranks him at No. 27, and ESPN has named him a five-star and No. 16 in the country. Fears becomes the first player in the Illini’s Class of 2025.
