Four vie for two trustee seats in East Rochester. What to know

Democrats Mark D. McDermott and Chad M. Woodworth and Republicans Wendy E. McDermott and Deborah E. Herb are vying for two, four-year terms on the East Rochester Town/Village Board. Each of the four candidates are aiming to be elected to his or her first term.

The annual salary for a trustee is $7,498 (for the fiscal year that started June 1, 2023 and ends May 31, 2024)

The Nov. 7 General Election is approaching in Monroe County. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday on Election Day. We will post the election results for Monroe County as they become available.

Who else is on the ballot in East Rochester?

Mayor John Alfieri is running uncontested for mayor. He was first elected to the post in 2019 and is vying for his second four-year term. He is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines.

The mayor's annual salary is $14,046.

What to know about Election Day 2023

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Early voting is available at limited locations between Oct. 28 and Nov. 5. Polls will be open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

You must register to vote by Saturday, Oct. 28.
