Four Visalia wrestlers bring home Central Section Masters championships

Four Visalia high school grapplers brought home a 2023 Central Section Girls Wrestling Masters individual championship this past weekend.

Redwood's Jennah Creason, Audrey Segura, Golden West's Jackie Green, and Lana Camacho all placed first in their respective divisions on Saturday at the section's championship tournament at Morro Bay High School.

Creason won the 143-pound title, defeating Madera South's Christina Jaen-Contreras by a 5-1 decision in the championship match.

Segura followed suit in the 150-pound division. She beat Porterville's Delilah Maldonado to claim a first-place medal.

Green topped Ridgeview's Olivia Furlong in the 170-pound championship bout to turn in a first-place performance.

Camacho captured the 189-pound championship by beating Golden Valley's Naomi Roby in the first-place match.

Creason, Segura, Green and Camacho all automatically qualify for this weekend's CIF State Wresting Tournament at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.

Golden Valley won the Central Section girls' team championship with 113 total points, edging Selma's 112 points. Highland finished third (107.5 points) and Redwood came in fourth (96 points) followed by Golden West at fifth (93 points).
