These four Washington restaurants are among the best in the nation, Yelp says

Four restaurants in Washington landed on Yelp’s top 100 places to eat in 2022.

The joints range from Italian to American and French-inspired, but they all have one thing in common: Customers raved about these restaurants on Yelp and rated them highly.

Yelp pulled together the “Top 100 US restaurants 2022” by reaching out to diners to get their input, then ranking the “total number of submissions, ratings, reviews and geographic representation.”

Restaurants in Seattle, Bothell and Kirkland made the list.

Copine — Seattle

Chef Shaun McCrain and his crew create modern American dishes with a French technique. His restaurant was rated No. 19 by Yelp.

The prix fixe menu includes a three-course meal priced at $110 with the option of adding a mid course. The menu is constantly changing and the food is “top quality and pure innovation,” a Yelp reviewer said.

“These dishes push the boundary of comfort, offer new tastes and above all, were artistically stunning,” according to another Yelp reviewer.

Copine halted dine-in service until Feb. 3 due to rising COVID-19 cases. Takeout is available.

Pizzeria Credo — Seattle

At Pizzeria Credo, expect thin-crust pizza made with imported Italian flour, tomatoes and fresh mozzarella — all baked in a wood-fired oven.

The pizza joint in ranked No. 30.

Order the con carne pizza with San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni and chorizo, a Yelp reviewer recommended.

The menu also includes several pasta dishes.

“Their pizza fulfills cheesy cravings with none of the greasiness from many other restaurants and chains,” one Yelp user wrote.

The Cottage — Bothell

This bistro-style brunch and dinner spot in Bothell is No. 72 on the list of best places to eat in the nation.

It’s cozy, warm and serves up coffee, craft cocktails and “artisan wines.”

And the “decadent” baked croissant french toast is highly rated by Yelpers. It’s garnished with fresh berries and drizzled with vanilla bean maple syrup.

“Their French toast was made with croissants and it was so flaky and buttery — almost like a kouign amann. I would 100% get again,” one Yelp user wrote, referring to a pastry made with layers of butter and sugar.

For a main dinner course, order the “succulent” red wine braised short ribs. It’s paired with a harvest mash, English peas and thyme mascarpone.

“The short rib was perfectly cooked and fork tender. The cauliflower mash and red wine demi was equally delicious and went well with the short rib,” one user wrote.

The Cottage is open for dine-in service.

Ristorante Paradiso — Kirkland

At No. 94, Ristorant Paradiso serves up authentic Italian dishes from chef Fabrizio Loi’s hometown in Sardinia, Italy.

The quaint and intimate restaurant has been a staple in the Kirkland community for more than 30 years, so better make a reservation beforehand.

Yelpers suggested starting with the caprese and then trying the pollo alla mia maniera — a chicken breast stuffed with spinach, mozzarella and prosciutto, smothered in a mushroom Marsala sauce. Finish the meal with a sweet and creamy Tiramisu.

Ristorant Paradiso is open for takeout or dining in.
