Fourth grader Arlyn Morris named mini marshal of Ravenna Balloon A-Fair

Ravenna fourth-grader Arlyn Mae Morris has been selected as the mini marshal of the 2022 Ravenna Balloon A-Fair.

Balloon A-Fair President Linda Pierson said Arlyn submitted the winning theme, "Be Brave and Take Flight."

She will lead the children's parade on Sept. 15 and also take part in the Grand Parade on Sept. 17, both in downtown Ravenna.

Arlyn will be a fourth-grader at West Main Elementary School in the fall. She is very active in Ravenna Cub Scout Pack 3551 and soccer. Her mother, Melissa, said Arlyn tried her hand for the first time at field hockey this year.

Arlyn loves animals, enjoys spending time with her leopard gecko named Ash along with the family cats and dogs. Her family says she is an excellent student, with an inclusive spirit and inquiring mind. She always has a helper attitude and never leaves anyone out. She enjoys trying new sports and activities and is looking forward to school again in the fall.
