Fourth of July celebration

What: The Galesburg Lion’s Club, WGIL and The Laser are hosting Galesburg’s "Big Bang BOOM!" at Lake Storey Park. Fireworks will launch from the lake’s south side. Spectators are encouraged to bring portable radios to enjoy a soundtrack for the show that will be broadcast on 93.7 FM, 1400 AM WGIL and 92.7 FM.

First Sunday Flea Market

What: The flea market includes more than 20 vendors with Macho Taco truck, tie-dye shirts, diesels art, Saylor signs, ducks sports cards, crystals, Jenns cupcakes and cookies, twice loved items and lots of cool junk.

When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2

Throwback Thursday Movie: Annie (1982)

What: This year's Throwback Thursdays theme is Movie Musicals. This week the theater showing Annie.

Lipanda Day celebration for kids

What: Celebrate Lipanda day with story time and kids activities. Join special guest Pastor Moise Mbiye to celebrate the Democratic Nation of the Congo’s Independence Day. Open to kids of all ages.

Lipanda Day Festival
