Fowler commentary: Would you rather be ruled by Houyhnhnms or Yahoos?
Are you a MAGA Republican (Conservative) or a Crazy Democrat? That is — a Make America Great Again Republican or a Chaos-Run-Amok-Zany-Yahoo Democrat? Most of you are familiar with the 18th century tale by Jonathan Swift, “Gulliver’s Travels,” in which Gulliver travels to the land of the Lilliputians and is captured by little people. Some of you may not be aware of Gulliver’s travel to three other countries, one of which is the land of the Houyhnhnms ruled by horses. Other occupants of the land are the Yahoos, a race of human-like creatures who are inept and incapable of making sensible decisions.
Joe Biden makes pejorative speeches about MAGA Republicans, not recognizing that every Republican and Conservative is a MAGA. Who wouldn’t be for making America great again? It appears that the answer is Yahoo Democrats—that is, all the Democrats currently running our government. The “rank and file” Democrats, those who vote in elections, have been hoodwinked by the Washington Democrats to believe that these Democrats are “saving democracy” simply because Joe Biden has told them so. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear know the opposite is true. The Marxists in our nation’s Capitol are doing just the opposite. Let’s look at their slogan: “Make America Better.”
How does opening the southern border and inviting the world to cross illegally into our country make America better? We all know that America is much worse because of this policy. Setting aside the fact that the migrants are breaking our laws (along with the Democrats), untold amounts of lethal drugs are entering as well. Human trafficking is enslaving thousands of people looking for a better life. People crossing illegally are not vetted, have no employment, and many are likely carrying death-threatening diseases. I am sure these facts do not make America better.
How does shutting down drilling for oil and natural gas make America better? Biden sells oil from our reserves to other countries; then, he buys oil from our enemies. If this isn’t yahooish, what else could it be? That and the fact that in case of national emergency (war with Russia/China) will result in a rapid depletion of our reserves with no ability to replenish the loss. Can anyone make sense of this decision? Oh yes! We’re saving the environment by getting rid of our oil in the name of “climate change.” Too bad our enemies think otherwise and drip foam from their snarling mouths with the anticipation that America will no longer be the greatest power on earth. No doubt, if they should take over our country, they will savor the opportunity to drill for the oil lying beneath our soil. No qualms about saving the planet! If Biden had any common sense, he would reopen the Keystone pipeline and allow drilling on federal land.
How does inflation caused by Joe Biden and his manipulators make America better? My grocery bill is at least a hundred dollars more than it was before Biden. My gasoline bill is a dollar or more a gallon than it was before Biden. My insurance payments for my car and house are hundreds of dollars more than before Biden. I’m afraid, Joe, that I don’t find my life and Americans’ lives better after you have taken office and established your “woke” policies with a “pen and phone” as described by your mentor, Barack Obama. I’m not going to buy an electric car. I can’t afford one. Besides, I don’t want to push the thing to a charging station after I run out of battery power on a rural road in the middle of Montana.
How does sucking up to China make America better again? (I apologize for the crude choice of words, but I don’t know any other appropriate word to use.) China is our enemy. When we run out of oil (gasoline), what will keep them from refusing to sell lithium batteries for our cars and solar panels to us in order to make us immobile? And, by the way, no oil, no charging stations, since oil, coal, and natural gas are required to create electricity. Never mind China’s own pollution of the atmosphere with their coal-fired plants. Only a yahoo would believe that China will have our best interests at heart. Unfortunately, we are “led” by a compromised president who, apparently, owes his soul to China.
A horse’s whinny has more truth in it than a Biden speech. Can anyone name one thing made better by Joe Biden since he has occupied the presidential chair? Oh, he is running for president again and has opened Alaska to limited drilling. Why not Texas, Wyoming, South Dakota, all more accessible for oil? It is appropriate that the symbol for the Democrat Party is a jack-, now painted red.
