MAGA diehard and serial blowhard Dan Bongino is no longer a Fox News star, Forbes first reported on Thursday morning.

“We thank Dan for his contributions and wish him success in his future endeavors,” the network wrote in a statement confirming the end of Bongino’s Saturday evening show, Unfiltered with Dan Bongino, along with his Fox Nation show, Canceled in the USA.

“The show ending last week was tough,” Bongino said on his podcast Thursday morning, confirming he’s done at Fox News. The Trump-boosting pundit, who has long been a proponent of election denialism, also noted that the “timing’s not great” considering the network’s recent $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.

“It’s not some big conspiracy theory, I promise you. There’s no acrimony,” Bongino declared. “We just couldn’t come to terms on an extension. That’s really it.”

Bongino also appeared to get somewhat emotional about his Fox tenure coming to an end, adding that he had “really enjoyed myself there” during his 10 years as a guest and paid contributor.

“It’s a sad day,” he sighed. “They did give me the opportunity to do one last show, I don’t want you to think they showed me the door. That’s on me, not on them, but I thought it was best to go this way for now.”

According to Forbes, Fox News will air one of the network’s other weekend programs, Lawrence Jones Cross Country, in Bongino’s stead before a new schedule is announced.

Sadly, the end of the Bongino era at Fox News means there will be no more on-air fights between him and frequent sparring partner Geraldo Rivera. Their tussles, typically during Sean Hannity’s primetime show, would sometimes grow so heated that physical objects would get thrown.

Additionally, throughout his time at Fox, Bongino would occasionally take potshots at his employer, especially if he felt they were hurting his credibility among his far-right base. Namely, he attacked the network in 2021 for posting an edited version of his interview with Donald Trump that removed the former president’s baseless claim that the 2020 election was “fake.”

At the same time, the network sometimes had to clean up Bongino’s on-air screwups, such as the time he claimed that the 10 healthiest cities in America were actually the “unhealthiest” in an attempt to own the libs.
