Fox News poll: Biden leads in Nevada, Pennsylvania, Ohio
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is leading President Donald Trump in the battleground states of Nevada, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to Fox News polls released Thursday.
The polls conducted among likely voters showed Biden with an 11-point lead over Trump in Nevada, where 52 percent of respondents said they wanted the former vice president to be elected. In Pennsylvania, 51 percent supported Biden and 44 percent supported Trump. In Ohio, 50 percent supported Biden and 45 percent supported Trump.
Trump's 2016 victories in Pennsylvania and Ohio were critical to his electoral win that year. Nevada narrowly voted for then-Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
A majority of respondents in Nevada and Pennsylvania and a plurality in Ohio also said they had more confidence in Biden nominating the next Supreme Court justice than Trump. Trump said he would be naming his nominee for the court on Saturday, following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last week.
Trump has recently disparaged Fox News polling after a number of polls showed Biden leading in key states. During an interview with Fox News' Brian Kilmeade on Thursday, Trump called the network's pollsters "incompetent."
"They don't like me, I can tell you that. But — so you know, what can I tell you. The worst poll is usually Fox," Trump said. Kilmeade defended the network, telling the president: "if you met them, you would like them."
The polls were conducted between Sept. 20-23 — after Ginsburg's death — under the joint direction of Beacon Research and Shaw & Company. Surveyors spoke to over 800 random likely voters in the each of the three states by cell phone and landline. The margin of error was plus or minus 3 percentage points in each state.
