Framingham Public Schools has named a permanent principal at the Brophy School

FRAMINGHAM Jessica Mandes is the new principal at the Brophy Elementary School.

On Monday, Superintendent of Schools Robert Tremblay announced that he has appointed Mandes, who has served as interim principal at Brophy since the beginning of the school year.

She replaces Frank Rothwell, who left last spring after serving as Brophy's principal for 12 years.

“This appointment will ensure as much consistency as possible for the Brophy community,” Tremblay said in a statement. “I continue to be impressed by Ms. Mandes’ leadership, presence throughout the school, fluency in Spanish which assists in directly supporting our Dual Language programming and Brophy families, and her hands-on approach as a school leader which I had the opportunity to observe, firsthand, during my weeklong residency."
