France’s Macron believes Russia could attack EU in coming years

European Union leaders should be prepared for a Russian attack as Moscow’s actions in recent weeks signal that Russia could attack NATO states in the next few years, French President Emmanuel Macron said, El Mundo reported.

Russia “must not and cannot win this war”, he said.

"The collective analysis is that in a few years we have to be prepared for a Russian attack," he said.

He did not disclose other details.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on Feb. 18 that Russia could attack NATO territory in five to eight years.

Russia is now better prepared for aggression against other European countries despite the failure of Russian plans to seize all Ukrainian territory and losses in this war, Defense Policy Director of Lithuania’s National Defense Ministry, Vaidotas Urbelis, said on Feb. 14.
