France threatens Ukraine sanctions over violence

PARIS (AP) — French President Francois Hollande says that those who have caused the deadly violence in Ukraine "will be sanctioned."

Hollande called the violence that has killed 25 protesters and injured hundreds "unqualifiable, inadmissible, untolerable acts."

He spoke on Wednesday at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a day ahead of an emergency EU foreign ministers meeting to discuss possible sanctions against Kiev.
