  • The Rock shared a video of Boss Level star Frank Grillo and director Joe Caranhan plotting ways to promote their new Hulu action film.

  • One idea? Dance shirtless holding The Rock's Teremana Tequila in an attempt for the superstar to share the video with his 222 million Instagram Followers.

  • Mission Accomplished?

Let's start this story off with an objective truth: The Rock is a big man. How about another? The Rock has a lot of fans. One more: The Rock has a lot of Instagram followers. So many Instagram followers, in fact, that getting a message onto his feed—in front of his 222 million followers—looks pretty attractive, even to others making action movies. Enter Frank Grillo and Joe Caranahan, whose new time loop action movie Boss Level just landed on Hulu.

In a video now posted to The Rock's Instagram—Mission Accomplished!—Carnahan (Boss Level's director) is seen trying to convince Grillo (Boss Level's star) to take his shirt off and do the JuneBug challenge. Because The Rock might repost (if they also give his Teremana Tequila a little plug), and 222 Instagram followers is no joke, bro.

"I'm a fucking serious actor," Grillo tells Carnahan upon hearing the idea in the video.

"I'm a serious fucking director," Carnahan, who previously directed movies like Smokin' Aces and The Grey said. "We've got a movie to promote."

A little convincing later, and Grillo, probably best known for his role as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones in both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, was dancing on the street, doing the exact JuneBug dance that his director wanted him to do, shirt nowhere in sight.

The Rock definitely appreciated the effort the Boss Level team put in:

My guys @frankgrillo1 and director @carnojoe know what’s up — EVERY day that ends in Y is a @Teremana day!
😂👊🏾🥃
This one cracked me up, and it looks fucking cold so all the more respect boys!!! That’s #BossLevel marketing right there 🏆
Frank Grillo is not only one of Hollywood’s BEST action stars, but he’s a legit bad ass who embodies the mantra of #HardestWorkerInTheRoom.
Here’s to an EPIC debut this Friday on Hulu, my brothers - shirts off!!! 😂🥃
#BossLevel
Great concept!!

If you watch and enjoy Boss Level we can direct you towards some more entertainment to keep that craving going; time loop movies have become a popular subgenre, and Palm Springs, Edge of Tomorrow, and, of course, Groundhog Day are all great watches. Netflix's Russian Doll series is also a keeper (and Season 2 of that is hopefully on the way soon).

If it's Boss Level's leading man you like, Grillo also starred in two movies inThe Purge franchise, and led the underrated MMA series Kingdom, which also featured Nick Jonas and Paul Walter Hauser.
