Eintracht Frankfurt captain Sebastian Rode is ready to make his comeback in the Bundesliga match at Darmstadt on Saturday after being sidelined since September 2023 due to a calf injury.

"I can reveal one secret: Sebastian Rode will be in the squad tomorrow," Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller said in a news conference on Friday.

"The personnel situation is excellent. Chandler and Rode are also available. We have a full squad to choose from. Everyone‘s looking fit and in good shape. We want to bring focus, intensity and desire into our game again," the coach added.

Rode played two Bundesliga games this season and only for a few minutes. Earlier this month, the midfielder returned to team training and Frankfurt were expecting to have him available next week against Mainz.

"We didn't know how he would react. He has now coped very well with the training sessions. He is ready," Toppmöller said.
