Eintracht Frankfurt forward Rafael Borré will move to Brazilian top flight team International, the Bundesliga club said on Wednesday.

In a statement, Internacional said that his deal will run until December 2028 and that he should complete his transfer until the deadline of July 10.

Borré is currently on loan at Werder Bremen, but it's unclear whether he will complete the season with the team. The Brazilian Serie A is to start in April, while the Bundesliga season ends in May.

There's a good chance that the player can go to Brazil still during the current winter transfer window and Bremen director of professional football Clemens Fritz was annoyed by the announcement.

"It's absolutely fine that Frankfurt and Internacional have reached an agreement, but we're very irritated that Rafael has already been photographed in the shirt of another club," Fritz told the Deichstube news portal, referring to social media posts made by Internacional.

Fritz stressed at the end of last year that the club was not planning to let the forward leave before the end of his deal, which runs until summer 2024.

Borré was part of the Frankfurt team that won the Europa League in 2022. In the final against Rangers, he netted the equalizer in regular time before converting the decisive fifth penalty in the shoot-out to clinch victory.
