Franklin Pride returns this Saturday. Here's what to know

Franklin Pride on Saturday is returning for its second year.

Organized by local residents, the second annual event is expected to welcome around 5,000 people.

"I feel like it's the make or break point," Franklin Pride president Robert McNamara said.

"This is the year that ill tell us whether our work paid off. We're super excited and the vibe is that it's going to be a huge turnout."

Franklin Pride, a registered nonprofit, has organized a full-lineup of entertainment, as well as a variety of vendors.

Cost and access

Admission and parking are free. A festival map is provided on the festival's website at https://franklinpridetn.com/festival-map.

Franklin-based CKE restaurants—parent company of Hardee's — is the event's presenting sponsor. Other vendors will have have food and beverage available for purchase, including:

  • Cousin's Maine Lobster

  • 2 Girls N' a Hot Dog

The festival will be held on a grass field at the park, however there are some pathways leading around parts of the event venue. Make sure to view the festival map to know where to go.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Entertainment Lineup

Across two stages and a mobile stage brought by the Nashville Opera, Franklin Pride has prepared a full lineup of musicians, highlighted by headliner Fancy Hagood.

Additional performers will also perform on Nashville Opera's mobile stage.

What's new this year?

New to this second annual event is a lounge hosted by Wilco Iris, the county's safe space group for LGBTQ+ teens and allies, where teens can stop by for activities, to learn about the organization and to rest up with some shade and water.

Another new piece to this year's Franklin Pride is a beer garden offering beer and hard seltzer options for purchase to patrons 21 and older. Beer tickets will be available for purchase at Franklin Pride's welcome tent.

Health and Safety

Franklin Pride encourages anyone feeling sick to stay home to limit the risk of spreading illnesses like COVID-19, as well as for guests to stick to fist and elbow "bumps" instead of handshakes.

Guns are strictly prohibited.
