Frasier revival confirms original cast member Bebe Neuwirth is returning

Frasier has added another original cast member to its revival.
The new show is set to see the return of Kelsey Grammer as Dr Frasier Crane as he sets up life in a new city.
It has now been confirmed that Bebe Neuwirth will return as Dr Lilith Sternin, whom fans may remember had a tense relationship with Frasier. The pair did marry on the series, though eventually divorced.

Streamer Paramount+ confirmed the news on Twitter, sharing an audio clip from the original show as the camera pans to a trailer with the word "Lilith" on the outside.
A synopsis for an episode reads (via TheWrap): "When they reunite at Freddy's birthday party, Lilith, in classic form, is far from pleased about having to share Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott) now that Frasier is back living in Boston. What begins as a fun party with friends and family, inevitably becomes a Lilith-and-Frasier showdown for the ages!"
Despite the return, a number of other original characters won't be back, including Niles, Daphne, Roz and Martin.

Addressing co-star David Hyde's Pierce's decision not to come back as Frasier's brother, Grammer told People last year: "David basically decided he wasn't really interested in repeating the performance of Niles. In a very funny way, it just took us to a new place, which was what we originally wanted to do, anyway, which was a Frasier third act. It's an entirely new life for him."
Frasier is also bringing some new characters on board, including Eve (played by The Boys star Jess Salgueiro), who is a roommate of Frasier and Lilith's son Freddy, and Alan Cornwall (Nicholas Lyndhurst), Frasier's old college friend.
Frasier will stream on Paramount+ in the US.
